Kelso Web Services offers instructional classes in E-mail Software, the Internet, Visual Basic, and Web Sites (design, coding, and maintenance). These classes have been developed and taught by Jeff Kelso over a several year period. All classes include a take-home manual for that class. They can be modified to meet your individual needs.

E-Mail Software: How do I forward an e-mail without all those annoying brackets (>)? How can I convert from AOL to Outlook? I have several e-mail accounts, how can I get to them with just one program? What about viruses? These questions (and many more) are answered in this informative 2-hour presentation. The class is an introduction to e-mail in general and discusses uses the major e-mail packages (AOL, Eudora, Netscape, and Outlook). $100 per person; minimum of 4 students.

The Internet: This class is a basic introduction to the Internet. You will learn about using the 3 major browsers (Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Opera) and why you might prefer one over the other. The use of Search Engines, list servers, e-mail services, and other web tools will be explained. Viruses and child-protection will be covered. There will also be information on alternative ways to connect to the Internet. This 2-hour class will get you comfortable with Internet. $100 per person; minimum of 4 students.

Visual Basic: This is a course intended for professional programmers who are already familiar with programming and the Windows environment. Each student will learn in a hands-on manner with take-home exercise. The class is organized as eight sessions of three-hours each. The sponsoring organization must provide a classroom with one PC per student. The class is also limited to twelve students. Each student will receive their own copy of Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Learning Edition to keep. $600 per person; minimum of 5 students with a maximum of 12.

Web Sites: This class will cover the basics and some advance concepts of designing and coding a web site with multiple pages, images, hyperlinks (both internal and external), e-mail, and various fonts. Upon successful completion of this course the student should be able to design, code, and publish a web site appropriate for a family, small business (without e-commerce), or a non-profit organization. The class is organized as eight sessions of three-hours each. The sponsoring organization must provide a classroom with one PC per student. The class is also limited to twelve students. Each student will receive their own copy of the O'Reilly HTML Pocket Reference to keep. $600 per person; minimum of 5 students with a maximum of 12.
